Description

The course will expose students to historical information that highlights social justice and social activism with special emphasis on those organizations established in the 20th Century. Special attention will be given to the role of students in social activism and their impact upon the world. Contemporary movements such as Black Lives Matter, Me Too, Fight For Our Lives and Time Up will be discussed as well as movements and issues related to gender and sexual orientation to bring awareness around the importance of these movements in social activism.
