Description
The course difines child welfare and provides an historical perspective and an examination of the principle supportive, supplemental, and substitutive child welfare services: family services, protective vet services, foster-care, day care, home-maker services, adoption services, adoption services and institutional care. Additionally, the focus is on the Federal and State laws affecting social workers in various child welfare settings.
