My name is Pei-Ru (Peggy) from Taiwan. A bachelor degree in business, specialized in hospitality management was completed by me at Griffith University, Queensland, Australia in 2007.
Through my career, I have benefited a lot from having the 2nd language skill. It has led me a journey to see the world and having an open minded towards other cultures. I have worked in multi-culture office environments in Australia, hosting tours for foreigner travelers in Taiwan, taking Taiwanese tour group to European countries/Australia, and being a media interpreter at refinery and nuclear power plant. I would like to bring all the language skill I have into education field, and help others achieve their career goals, especially the students wish to work in an international company or study aboard.
This is such a rare opportunity to involve in people of color's culture and community. I am looking forward to getting to know this community; and I am excited to make contributions by sharing Taiwanese culture through Chinese language teaching.
Besides teaching, I love sports, surfing, hiking, being active in general, and playing musical instruments sometimes. By the way, the course "kinesiology" Jarvis offers, is also another reason I chose coming to Jarvis.
